Legalization and Authentication

To initiate the legalization and authentication of documents, take note of all processes and signatures to be collected before to submitting the documents to the Consulate depending on the intended use:

  1. For use in the Philippines - The applicant must ensure that all document(s) issued by Swedish authorities or executed by a Swedish or foreign individual living in Sweden (together with its English translation) must be duly notarized by a Swedish notary public and legalized by the Legalization Section of the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Utrikesdepartementet Legalisering Sectionen)
  2. For use in Sweden - The applicant must ensure that all documents to be submitted to the Philippine Honorary Consulate General in Sweden, for legalization, must have been authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs.

For the Consulate to process the application, please take note of the following steps:

  1. Download the relevant consular form (download the relevant form here: http://philcon.se/index.php/en/legalization-and-authentication/downloadable-forms-2)
  2. Attach the consular form and all supporting documents, which must be notarized and legalized by the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs if to be used in the Philippines.
  3. Include the applicant's proof of identification:
    1. Clear copy of the data page of the applicant's passport
    2. Photocopy of identification card 
  4. Include the payment of 300 SEK per set of documents to be authenticated. 
  5. Include a self-addressed envelope and stamps.
  6. Include all of the above in an envelope and send it to:
